If we’re being honest, I never planned on becoming a coach. I became one because I lived this journey myself — the hard parts, the messy parts, the regain, the doubts, all of it.

My highest recorded weight was 299 pounds (and let’s be real, I know I was over 300). I felt stuck in my own body, avoiding pictures, avoiding life, and wondering if I’d ever feel “normal” again. On 9/26/13, I had bariatric surgery in Tijuana, and that was the day I decided to take my life back.

But here’s the truth most people don’t tell you:
Surgery isn’t the finish line — it’s the starting point.

I lost the weight.
Then life happened.
I regained — more than once.
In 2017 and again in 2024 after medical complications, I had to pull myself out of the trenches and get back to my bariatric basics. And every single time, the thing that saved me wasn’t perfection… it was structure, mindset, and daily action.

That’s why I do what I do now.

I built my entire coaching system — Bari-Fit, Winning Against Regain, The Success Playbook, the Back on Track Challenge — from the exact tools I used to lose regain and stay out of that defeated, “I hate how I look” season of life.

My mission is simple:
